Honey and Almond Brownies Recipe

These fudgy honey and almond brownies are a tasty treat that are ideal for a sweet snack or dessert. The ground and flaked almonds add a lovely nutty flavor and crunch, while the honey adds a natural sweetness that perfectly complements the dark chocolate.

  • Prep Time: 20 minutes
  • Cook Time: 30 minutes
  • Total Time: 50 minutes

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C/160°C fan/Gas Mark 4 and set aside.
  • Grease and line a 20cm square baking pan with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl set over a pan of simmering water, melt the chocolate and butter together, stirring occasionally, then remove from the heat and set aside to cool slightly.
  • Whisk together the sugar and eggs in a separate bowl until light and fluffy.
  • Sift in the flour and fold in the ground almonds, honey, and salt after stirring in the chocolate mixture.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared tin and top with the flaked almonds.
  • Bake the brownies for 25-30 minutes, or until the centre is just set.
  • Allow to cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares and serving.
