Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and lightly grease an 8x8 inch (20x20 cm) baking dish.
  • Mash the ripe bananas with a fork in a large mixing bowl until smooth.
  • Melt the unsalted butter and mix it into the bananas.
  • Combine thoroughly.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the granulated sugar, light brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  • Mix everything together until well combined.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • Slowly combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients, stirring constantly.
  • Incorporate the rainbow sprinkles and optional chopped walnuts into the batter.
  • Pour the batter into the greased baking dish and distribute it evenly.
  • Bake the brownies for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the centre comes out clean.
  • Allow the brownies to cool for 10 minutes in the baking dish before slicing and serving.
